Thys and Lida Fourie are the proud owners of Mahlatsi Country Venue.

Mahlatse Country Venue was the result of an awakening to the fact that prospective brides in Polokwane had trouble finding venues where they could make their weddings a true memorable experience.

Many of Thys and Lida's friends had children who were of the age where marriage was more the talk of the day than school sports. As these children expressed frustration at the lack of facilities where they could have their wedding receptions, Thys and Lida realised the vacuum that existed and decided to build a venue that specialises in wedding receptions. They built Mahlatse on their farm just outside Polokwane.

Both Thys and Lida grew up in the area and they know Limpopo and its people well. With their children they still live less than a kilometre from Mahlatse and together with manager Rudie, they strive to be the wedding venue of choice for the many young brides who want to have their weddings in Limpopo.
